Orthopaedic Surgery | Geelong Vet | Dr Paws Anakie Road Vet Clinic | Anakie Road

Orthopaedic surgery refers to surgery on the bonesand joints.

When is orthopaedic surgery needed?

Some situations where your pet may require orthopaedic surgery include:

  • fractures of the bones
  • removal of tumours
  • as a treatment for cruciate disease
  • as a treatment for hip dysplasia

Orthopaedic surgery is a stressful time for you and your pet so we try to do our best to make it as smooth and safe as possible.

Please be aware that your pet will need to have their activity restricted for a minimum of 8 weeks after surgery.

Visit our clinic to learn more about what happens on and after surgery day or contact us with any queries.
