Little miss Gigi was looking particularly cute after her orthopaedic surgery yesterday. Feel better... soon Gigi 🌸💗🧡

Our Staff Spotlight this month is our lovely Nurse Manager Robyn! She has been a vet nurse for over... 20 years and is in charge of our nurse training. She keeps our hospital running smoothly and is beloved by coworkers and patients alike.

Outside of work she loves getting outdoors, paddle boarding, and cycling, as well as spending time with family and friends. She loves traveling and seeing animals in their natural habitats and doting on her two Chihuahuas, Chachi and Ruby. 🐾💕

Baby glo came into the clinic for a dental due to having a loose tooth.
Once glo was under ...anaesthetic and dental X-rays were captured we noticed that the tooth that needed to be removed was actually one of her baby teeth from 1.5 years ago!
Here is one of the X-rays that was taken, you can notice the baby tooth on top of the adult one.

Many puppies can have retained deciduous teeth but they should fall out by the age of 6 months old.
If you’re concerned about your own pet having this problem, phone the clinic on 40479910 and we would be happy to talk you through steps moving forward.

Celebrating Dr Alison’s 1 year anniversary with Dr Paws!
We all would like to thank Alison ...for being such an amazing and dedicated Vet. 🤍🤍🤍

The best vet I have ever tried!!! Dr Elly she is super nice to my dog and myself very knowledgeable and caring. She is very empathetic as well and happy to answer any questions and patiently explains. Sadly we have had to make quite a few vet visits to Dr Paws but the staff are so great, always friendly and professional and they take great care our dog when he is in for surgery. He actually enjoys going to the vet. Everything gets explained … More clearly, good value for money and have been able to get our dog in at short notice on a number of occasions. Highly recommended 👏

Since moving to Newcastle we’ve been a couple
of times and my dog loves going. Always clean, staff are friendly, helpful with appointments over the phone, everything is clearly explained and issues throughly investigated. And also reasonably
… More priced. Onyx loves going to Dr Paws as all the staff are wonderful but he has recently developed a particular love for Dr Allison. Highly recommend.

I cannot recommend Alison Barrett my vet for over 10yrs. Now at Dr Paws Kotara.
My beautiful fur baby Airedale Chilli has been looked after by Alison who I call Chilli’s second mum for the whole 10yrs.
The welfare of your animal always
… More comes 1st but also she will never do or recommend anything unnecessary. Ensuring you and your pet are always put first.
I will follow Alison no matter where she goes as I implicitly trust her with my girl.
Chilli absolutely loves seeing Alison and her ongoing visits are always greeted with loads of tap dancing (Chilli’s happy dance)and wagging of her tail.
That says a lot for Alison and the rapport, love and dedication she has for her pet family.
Dr Paws Kotara have been amazing and are always happy and very helpful.
Thank you all so much and a HUGE thank you to the BEST VET EVER Alison Barrett……Chilli and I love you🐾❤️

I had an emergency with my French Bulldog puppy and Dr Kat and all the staff were wonderful, I felt confident in taking the advice given and my puppy was more than happy to have an overnight stay getting lots of cuddles and care. I have … More now found myself a new vet!

I took my elderly mother there with her cat. Mum thought they were awsome and would prefer to take her cat back there
