Dr Pat Chan - Veterinary Director

BVSc (Merit)

Hi my name is Pat. I have worked in small animal practice ever since I graduated. I have been at Dr Paws Lane Cove for 1.5 years. My role here is to ensure we deliver outstanding customer service and veterinary care to all our clients at their fur babies.

I enjoy all aspects of general practice, however, I have an interest in dentistry, which I am doing further study in and preventative medicine as well as geriatric medicine. I enjoy forming relationships with clients and their pets and helping their pets be the best they can be.

I have two cats myself, Tigger the 10 year old naughty tortie, and Oscar a 4 year old Ragdoll, who both hate each other, but tolerate one another. When I am not at work, you will find me chilling with my two cats and my wife - of course, eating out at yummy places (I am a foodie), going to the movies, snorkeling and snowboarding.

Rachel - Veterinary Nurse

I am one of the veterinary nurses here at Dr Paws. I qualified as a veterinary nurse in Ireland in 2016 and have worked in small animal practice ever since, Two years ago I decided to move to Australia to travel and work and have settled in well.

I have always loved animals from a young age and have a dog at home in Ireland called Rocky who is now 15 years old.

I enjoy every aspect of veterinary nursing but the most rewarding part is nursing a sick animal back to health and seeing them back to their old self.

Carly - Trainee Veterinary Nurse

Hi my name is Carly and I’ve been here at Dr Paws Lane Cove since December 2020 as a trainee nurse. I’m very excited to be joining an industry where I can help animals every day, and am looking forward to meeting all of your pets!

I have a little ginger rescue kitten named Henry who has just turned one. He is my pride and joy. You’ll commonly find him lazing about the house or taking up all the room on the bed.

In my spare time I enjoy getting out of the city to explore the local National Parks, going to the beach, and travelling up the coast to visit my family.

Tara - Trainee Veterinary Nurse

I joined Dr Paws Lane Cove in November 2020 and am currently studying Cert IV in veterinary nursing to become a qualified vet nurse. I am thoroughly enjoying all aspects of nursing particularly meeting and helping your furry friends!

I have a two-year-old spoodle named Baylee. You can typically find us at the beach or dog park on the weekends.
